I am the architect on a legacy modernisation of an Android smartPOS payment platform for BBVA, working through Minsait in a four-engineer mobile team.
The codebase arrived as a loosely implemented MVVM with business logic scattered through the UI layer. We moved it to MVI with a real domain layer, which made it testable for the first time — coverage now sits around 80% — and wired the whole thing into Jenkins CI/CD. I was not brought in as the lead. I ended up owning the technical decisions and the architecture.
Alongside that I am co-founding Persus, an HR SaaS platform launching in Q4 2026, where I own product and architecture and am building the backend in Java/Spring. It is the first time I am applying fifteen years of client work to a product of my own, which is a very different kind of problem.

Patient-data platform managing 1,000+ records across independent hospital networks. Data pipelines and ML-based pattern exploration over longitudinal records. The hard part was never the code — it was GDPR compliance, data processing agreements and security review with dozens of separate IT departments.

One of the largest driverless mass-transit systems built. I worked on the passenger-facing app — trip planning, journey information, in-app ticket purchase — in a ten-engineer team, coordinating in English across time zones.

Rules-based calculation and decision support for enteral nutrition and infant formula prescribing, replacing manual work from manufacturer datasheets. Clinical validation of shipped software, which is rarer than it sounds.

Data acquisition and reporting for a mid-size city's water supply. Continuous ingestion from field systems, with automated regulatory reporting that had previously required manual compilation.
Eleven years of running my own company taught me the part most engineering roles never touch — sitting with a client who does not work in software, understanding a business I knew nothing about the week before, and turning that into something that ships.
